Puerto Almanza & the King Crab Route
We visited Puerto Almanza, the southernmost fishing village on the Beagle Channel. The tour crosses glacial valleys, peat bogs, and forests, with a stop at the wind-shaped Flag Trees. In Almanza we meet local fishermen, learn about artisanal seafood harvesting (king crab, mussels, oysters), and enjoy a fresh seafood lunch—highlighting Patagonian king crab—with beautiful views of the Beagle Channel and Chilean mountains.

We are Lucas, Seba and Luciano, a group of enthusiastic friends and hosts of the Ushuaia destination with more than 10 years of experience, working as guides, walking, sailing, observing and interpreting nature, skiing, climbing mountains, visiting glaciers and touring the thousands of incredible places that Tierra del Fuego has at the edge of America.
